Message from the London Church of Scientology
Today’s London is a mirror of centuries
of history and cultural diversity, with
33 ethnic communities represented
and some 300 languages spoken within our boundaries. With 75 percent of the top 500 world businesses
located here and ports that handle some 50 percent
of the world’s shipping, our city is unquestionably a
crossroads for the world.
The Scientology religion has the solutions so
vitally needed in an international community such
as ours. The challenges of crime, drugs, immorality
and illiteracy are all problems which come with being
at the centre of today’s global empire. To fulfill our
commitment to make life better for all Londoners, we have expanded our church and our facilities to
better provide our many programmes to the diverse
people and cultures of London — both for overcoming
the problems of our communities and providing the
personal freedom that is Scientology itself.
With more that 5,000 churches, missions
and groups, ministering to tens of millions across
156 countries in 54 languages, Scientologists provide
help, guidance and assistance in thousands of cities, villages and communities. And with our global reach
and growing presence also comes the inevitable
questions: What is Scientology? What are its beliefs, its background and worldwide activities?
In exactly that spirit, through these pages, we provide an overview of our church, our founder, the worldwide movement of which we are part, and
the many programmes we sponsor and advance. For
the greater, detailed view of our beliefs, practices
and activities, we invite you to visit our Scientology
Information Centre, extending over two floors, containing dozens of exhibits on all facets of Dianetics
and Scientology.
You are always welcome at our church. Our
doors are open to you.
Our help is yours.
